About Sipes Strategic Accounting

Sipes Strategic Accounting is a small CPA firm located in South Bend, Indiana. We are owned and operated by 2 CPA’s with over 60 years of experience in public accounting. We have been operating since 1993 in Elkhart as William D Sipes & Co. We moved the office to South Bend and changed our name to Sipes Strategic Accounting in 2006.

Just because we are small does not mean we cannot handle you business or individual needs. Being smaller gives us the advantage of providing more personal service to the small business or individual. If you come see us, you will be serviced by one of the CPA partners. You will also work with the same professional year after year. If you were to go to a larger firm, you probably wouldn’t get that. While we are looking to grow our business, we do not want to grow too big that we can’t give our clients the attention they need.

William Sipes has been in public accounting for more than 45 years. He became a CPA in 1964. He spent over 20 years as a partner at a large well-respected regional CPA firm in the area. While many CPA’s his age have slowed down, Bill is going strong after all these years. He enjoys the business and enjoys working with his son on a daily basis. He was the son of a stonecutter in Bedford, IN. He entered the Navy in 1953. He attended Indiana University on the GI bill and graduated in 1961. He has lived in the Michiana area since 1961. William has been active in the community. He is a member of Kiwanis. He was a volunteer of the year for the WNIT auction.

Andrew Sipes has been in public accounting since 1993. He has been working for his father since he graduated. He graduated as the top accounting student at Indiana University in 1994. He then went on to earn his CPA in 1998. Andrew also is very involved in his church and community groups. He is the treasurer of his church and is a director in one of their children’s programs. He has also been a member of Rotary since 2001.
